Quotes are an important part of my life. They always keep me motivated in times of despair, and remember myself where I am headed. Here are some quotes from various sources that I would like to share !

Literature & Media: Reading a book can't do any harm.

"I have missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot… and I missed. I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that's precisely why I succeed. " - Michael Jordan

"It's never about you…" - Rick Warren TED talk on The Purpose of Life.

"All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others" - from the book Animal Farm, George Orwell
This is a good one, because although it comes off as an arrogant statement, it reminds me that there will always be someone better than me, and in consequence I have to strive to work harder everyday to feel competent towards other, but most importantly with my inner self.

"It's not about fighting for the right to be equal, but for the right to be different".

"Have no fear of perfection, you will never reach it" - Dali

"Try not to become a man of success, but rather to become a man of value." - Albert Einstein

"The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing." - Albert Einstein

"Success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best you are capable of becoming." - John Wooden

Movies & Series: They may not be real, but you can always learn a thing or two.

"With great power comes great responsibility" - Uncle Ben from Spiderman

"No Sacrifice, No Victory" - Witwicky motto from Transformers

"Sometimes you gotta' run before you walk." - Ironman

"Is it better to be feared, or respected? I say, is it too much to ask for both?"- Ironman

"My Job is to know what you don't know about yourself" - Sherlock Holmes

"I'm gonna' tell you the same thing I say to every genius I've ever met: Stop being an idiot." - Numb3rs

This is probably my favorite extract from the movie The Count of MonteCristo, based on Alexandre Dumas's book.
I like it a lot because it always remembers' Edmund the importance of being a good person, and having personal values, regardless of past events & problems.

Abate Faria -(Before dying) "When you escape use the treasure of Spada, for good, only for good"
Edmund- "No! I will surely use it for my revenge!"
Abate Faria - "Here now is your final lesson, Do not commit to others the crime from which you now are thrown to sentence. God said leave Vengeance to me…"
Edmund - "I don't Believe in God!"
Abate Faria - "It doesn't matter, He believes in you.."

Personal: Quotes that have appeared when confused or too philosophic.

"Nothing is impossible, just improbable" - I'm sure I've heard it somewhere else but can't seem to remember where.

"If you don't believe in yourself, no one will"

"Engineering is more of an Artistic breakthrough than the perfect complement of Science. Its purpose is to make life Fun, Interesting & Beautiful"

"It is always good to have a life-plan, but sometimes the best thing you can do is improvise."

I really like this one a lot, it happened while talking to a friend during a very adverse moment in my life. (Friend's identity & name is replaced by Guardian Angel). Notice how I also mention God, even though I am an agnostic person after reading Carl Sagan's : The Demon-Haunted World.

Me: "But God only gives you one shot in life"
Guardian Angel: " No, he gives you two …"
Me: " ??"
Guardian Angel: "You weren't ready the first time"
Me: "What about the second?"
Guardian Angel: "That's what we're preparing ourselves for"
